Maria Elena Sotelo - Paralegal
Texas native, Maria Sotelo began working for Dietz Law Firm in the fall of 2007 as a paralegal. With more than two decades of legal experience, Ms. Sotelo’s extensive background enhances the legal service support our law firm offers our clients.
In the course of her career, Ms. Sotelo honed her skills at several prominent Texas law firms with offices in Dallas, Austin and Houston. Maria has worked as a legal assistant, a paralegal and administrative assistant in numerous areas of law including, personal injury, medical malpractice, immigration, family law, litigation and workers’ compensation. She has also interpreted at both the Tarrant County District and County Courts (Spanish-English).
Assisting our firm’s attorneys as a paralegal, Ms. Sotelo is adept at case management, drafting pleadings, motions, discovery and other relevant litigation matters and preparing deposition summaries, as well as trial, hearing and mediation notebooks.
Maria Sotelo also utilizes her fluency in Spanish and skills as an interpreter to ensure that our firm’s clients, for whom English is a second language, fully understand their legal situation, and are able to communicate with our attorneys regarding all aspects of their case.
